Harwood Helpers 4-H Meeting Minutes 

August 7th, 2010

11:00 a.m.

The meeting was held at Brooktree Park was called to order by Vice President, Stephanie R. We recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H pledge.  Patrick D. read the secretary’s report with no corrections or additions. Roll call topic was “What is your favorite vegetable to plant in your garden?”  Members present were Taylor C., Patrick and Jeffrey D., Taylin F.,  Miro and Isabetta de H. G., Mackenzie H., Mason F., Emily, Kariann, and Jacob S., Blake L., Kendra K.,  Josh and Jorian R., Stephanie R. and Dallas F..

Old Business:  There is a community service opportunity on Friday, Sept 24^th, at the Sunmart parking lot 32^nd  Ave S. Fargo, to help with the 61 for 61 event in the evening manning the games. Please contact Sheila or Rob F. if you are interested in helping with this event.

New Business:   Please complete your Record Books and get them to Cheryl by August 29^th.   If you don’t hand in a book, you will not to eligible to receive an award for the year.

Treasurer’s report : $1,130.80

Our next meeting will be held Sept. 12^th 1:30 HCC.  This will be the start of our new 4-H year and new officers will be elected.

The meeting was adjourned by Josh and seconded by Jorian.

Demonstrations were given by:  Kariann S. – Crocheting a single chain

                                                          Kendra K. – Drawing cartoon animals

                                                          Emily S. – Clipping a rabbits nail

                                                          Stephanie R. – Training your dog to do what you want them to do

A picnic lunch and swimming was held at the park after the meeting.
